Helikon-Tex Bushcraft Line Chest Pack Numbat

Just received my chest pack today. Super fast shipping and almost a week before it said it would be here, NY to NV, Ordered it on the17th and got it on the 21st! I own Shorts, pants, knee pads, jackets and many Velcro pocket organizers from Helikon-Tex and just like the chest pack I, all great products! I looked over every stitch and how it was assembled and there where ZERO problems with it. I saw one review that said the zippers sucked,lol. They are YKK zippers and in the 15 years of owning gear have never had one fail. They are the best. The Pack is very roomy for its small size and the material is not stiff which I hate because it limits your ability to stuff what you need to carry. I am 5’10” and 230lbs, I know over weight at the moment and with the straps fully adjusted all the way out it hangs just below my chest which is 48” around. With my Helikon Anorak jacket on and a tee shirt it still fits just below my chest. I could easily put a sweater on as well and wear the pack. I own the Hazard4 chest pack and do not like it, to stiff and very thin. This chest pack it great and it was exactly what I was looking for. The Hills People pact is very nice as well but limited in storage/pockets compared to the Numbat and a hole lot more expensive. I watched every video I could find and chose the Numbat because it may only be 2.4” wide but because it is made of the softer 500D Cordura it can stretch out to 4 inches easy. The materials it is made with are all high quality and at this price it is well worth it. I am a gear snob/whore, excuse the phrase, and only want the best. I own gear from all the top companies like Maxpedition, Vanquest, Hazard4, Geopress, Zero Tolerance, ESEE and so one so I know what good quality gear feels like and looks like. If you have been looking at this for a while like I have, trust me, If you have done your homework, you will not regret getting it. I like Helikon gear because there pants and shorts have held up for years for me while camping, fishing and hiking. FYI this is not a paid review from Amazon or Helikon-Tex, Its a review from a long time outdoors man that “HATES” spending his money on cheap crap gear and not to be rude but there is a ton of it out there. Stick with the top brand names and you will have years of use out of your heard earned money. It also helps to take care of your gear and know how too. So know I am going to go fill my Numbat with gear!!
