I recently saw a youtube video about making candles from shortening. You simply microwave shortening in a glass jar. I added essential oil of sandalwood and then placed one of these wicks. You have to wrap the top of the wick around the handle of a wooden spoon or something similar to keep it from leaning. WORKED LIKE A CHARM. great product!
